The Little Rock Foundation is pleased to announce our annual summer
camp for visually impaired and blind children. This year’s camp will
take place from August 24th through August 28th, 2009. The camp
sessions will run from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm each day and will
include a sleepover on Thursday, August 27th.
The Camp will be held on the beautiful grounds of the YMCA Camp Ockanickon in Medford, New Jersey. It will host opportunities for a full camp experience including hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, low ropes course, talent show, camp program crafts and many other camp related activities. Lunch and snack will be provided each day as well as dinner on the evening of the sleepover and breakfast the following morning. The camp will be fully staffed by Camp Ockanickon, The Little Rock Foundation staff members and volunteers.
This camp is being offered for free to all visually impaired and blind children, ages 7 - 14, who are affiliated with a state agency for the visually impaired or blind. Parents interested in this exciting opportunity should contact the Little Rock Foundation for an application and information packet or call toll free (877) 220-2500 or see the link below for the camp package.
Since our inception in 1997, we have made tremendous strides in achieving our goals to support the blind and visually impaired in the Delaware Valley. Each year an annual event is held in November to raise funds to support our cause. The Little Rock Foundation is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization 501(c)3.
